Prayer

We are committed to prayer and there are a number of opportunities for us to get involved:

  • Prayer Base: on the first Sunday of each month we meet at 6:30 pm to pray for an hour, for the church, the world and ourselves. Usually we gather in the chancel at church but during the Covid emergency we mostly meet online via Zoom. Joining details available from our church office or Rector. We also meet to pray for 30 minutes (on Zoom) at 6:30 pm on the other Sundays.

  • Midweek prayers:  we are offering night prayer online at 8pm, usually via all our media channels - FacebookYouTube and Twitter.

  • Homegroups: our homegroups are meeting in person and/or online, to study God's word together, to pray, and to support each other.

  • Monthly Thursday evening prayer: we usually meet in the church hall on the third week of the month but are mostly meeting online to pray together.

  • The World Day of Prayer: members of St Thomas' are involved in this annual event each March.

If you have a pastoral need, please make us aware and we will try to assist you.
